National Library Board (a.k.a. NLB) has an ongoing exhibition titled ‘Selling Dreams: Early Advertising in Singapore’ held at the National Library Building. The exhibition features advertising materials from the 1830s to 1960s, which gives a glimpse into the nation’s early years and provides a better understanding of advertising at the time and its impact on Singapore’s society.
Not only is the admission free of charge, it is also conveniently located in town at the Bugis/Bras Basah area. The exhibition is rich in Singapore’s history, on par with the calibre of that from museums and we believe that it would appeal to foreign travellers.
More information on the exhibition can be found here.
