House Rules

1. Arrivals and Departures:
Check-in starts from 3:00 PM onwards, and check-out time is strictly by 11:00 AM. Late check-out will result in additional charges. After-hours or late/self-check-in requirements and instructions are available at https://www.wink.sg/post/self-check-in


2. No-Show Policy:
If a confirmed booking remains unchecked by 12:00 PM the next day without prior notification, it is considered a no-show.

3. Complimentary Luggage Storage:
We offer complimentary luggage storage during our reception hours. Unaccompanied overnight luggage storage is chargeable at SGD10 per luggage per night, and while we take utmost care, we are not liable for any loss or damage to stored belongings.

4. Reception Operating Hours:
Our reception operates daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM for your convenience.

5. Identification:
Upon check-in, guests must present valid identification such as a passport or identity card. We collect and verify the first page of the identification for record-keeping purposes.

6. Security Deposit:
Wink reserves the right to collect a security deposit equivalent to SGD10 per person per night. This deposit can be secured through credit card pre-authorization or cash deposit. The deposit will be refunded upon check-out, minus any charges for incidentals, including but not limited to:
a. Repair costs for damages to hostel properties.
b. Deep cleaning costs due to improper hygiene practices, such as excessive rubbish or liquid spillage in pods/rooms.
c. Incidental costs resulting from inconsiderate behaviors causing discomfort or disruption to other guests, despite warnings from Wink staff.
d. Replacement costs for missing items or belongings from the hostel premises.


7. Compliance with Ministry of Health Guidelines:
We adhere to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MOH). Regardless of vaccination status, all tourists are welcome. If a guest is legally required to undergo quarantine, we will facilitate their relocation to a designated isolation/quarantine facility at another hotel/hostel. Please note that all associated relocation costs will be borne by the guest, and refunds for any remaining nights at our hostel will not be provided.

8. Age Restriction:
Unaccompanied guests must be at least 18 years old. Exceptions are made for young travelers with parental or guardian consent. The parent or guardian must submit the Parent Consent Form A, available at https://www.wink.sg/parent-consent-a.

Accompanied guests under 18 years old must book an entire family or private room to ensure privacy and comfort for all occupants. Children under 4 years old can stay for free, with up to 2 children per room. The parent or guardian must submit the Parent Consent Form B, available at https://www.wink.sg/parent-consent-b.


9. Sharing of Bed:
Sharing of pods or beds is strictly prohibited for the comfort and privacy of all guests.

10. Room Allocation:
We reserve the right to reassign rooms based on availability and accommodate special requests when possible.

11. Booking Accuracy:
Please ensure the accuracy of your booked room or bed type to avoid any inconvenience upon arrival.
For example, a female shared room is only for the female guest; a male shared room is only for the male guest; a mixed shared room is for both genders. Should there be an incorrect room or bed type booked, we reserve the right to reassign or relocate the guest. Should the reassignment or relocation is not possible, we reserve the right not to check in this booking, and refund up to 50% of the booking value. 


12. Payment:
A reservation without payment, whether full or partial, cannot be deemed a valid booking. All monetary transaction is in the Singapore Dollar denomination. Any outstanding charges must be paid fully before check-in. Without that, we have the right to withhold your travel document or deny you from checking in to our property.

13. Guest Behavior:
Guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully, ensuring the comfort and safety of others at all times. We reserve the right to eject such guests from the hostel if their behaviors are deemed inappropriate and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

14. No-Smoking Policy:
Smoking is strictly prohibited within the premises to maintain a healthy environment. We reserve the right to eject such guests from Wink's properties for such offense and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

15. No Food and Drink Policy Inside Bedroom: 

For cleanliness purposes, consumption of food and drink is not allowed in bedrooms. We reserve the right to eject such guests from Wink's properties for such offense and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

16. Quiet Time After 10 pm:
The room is meant for sleeping and resting only. All other activities (i.e. talking/video-watching on the phone, chit-chatting, luggage packing/unpacking) should be done outside the bedroom. The bedroom common light should be light-off after 10 pm. 

 
17. Housekeeping and Maintenance Hours:
Our housekeeping hour is between 11 am and 3 pm. Staying-over guests (i.e. more than 1 night) may continue to remain in the room. However do note that we will need to open up the doors and windows and switch off the air-conditioning system, and we will operate our cleaning tools (i.e. vacuum machines) extensively. We may also conduct maintenance work from time to time, and the maintenance might be extended due to the unpredictable nature of the scope of work. Nonetheless, we will try to minimize the impact and inform you early.

18. Indemnity:
We regularly organize social and recreational activities for guests. These activities are voluntary and guests who participate in such activities cannot seek any compensation from Wink for all and any injuries, damages, and liabilities. We do not accept liability for the death, sickness, or injury of any guest, or for loss, theft, or damage to any guest's property however caused. It is your responsibility to ensure your belongings are secure at all times.

19. Black List:

To protect the safety of our guests, we keep a list of unwanted visitors that would be denied entry to any of Wink's properties. We sight every booking against this unwanted visitor list. We reserve the full right to deny the check-in of such persons. Any payment made would be refunded (minus the required admin charges).
