Wink House Rules

Welcome to Wink. These house rules are designed to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for everyone. By making a reservation or staying at a Wink property, guests agree to observe the following rules.

Check-inFrom 3:00 PM
Check-outBy 11:00 AM
Reception9:00 AM-9:00 PM
Quiet hours10:00 PM-8:00 AM

1. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM. Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM on the departure date.

Late check-out is not available. Guests who require the room beyond 11:00 AM should book an additional night, subject to availability.

2. Reception Hours

Our reception is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

If you expect to arrive after 9:00 PM, we recommend updating your estimated arrival time and submitting your passport details through winkhostel.com/portal before arrival. Pre-arrival registration is optional but will help speed up the check-in process.

Guests may still check in after 9:00 PM without completing pre-arrival registration. Upon arrival, please press the doorbell for assistance from our night staff.

3. No-shows

A reservation may be treated as a no-show if the guest has not checked in or contacted us by 12:00 PM on the day following the scheduled arrival date.

Any cancellation charges, forfeiture of payment, or release of the accommodation will be handled according to the terms of the reservation.

4. Luggage Storage

Complimentary luggage storage is available on the day of arrival or departure during reception hours, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Overnight luggage storage is generally not available. Returning Wink guests who are travelling away and subsequently staying with us again may request overnight storage, subject to space and prior approval, at S$10 per piece of luggage per night.

Although reasonable care will be taken, luggage is stored at the guest's own risk. Guests should not leave cash, travel documents, electronics, valuables, medication, or fragile items in stored luggage.

5. Identification and Guest Verification

Every guest must present a valid passport at check-in.

We may collect and verify the identification details required for guest registration, security, and regulatory purposes. The name of the staying guest must match the reservation or be authorised in advance by the person who made the booking.

Wink reserves the right to decline check-in when a guest's identity or authorisation cannot be satisfactorily verified.

6. Payment

A reservation is confirmed only after any required deposit or payment has been received.

All prices and transactions are denominated in Singapore dollars unless otherwise stated. Any outstanding accommodation charges, deposits, or applicable fees must be paid before check-in. Wink may decline check-in if the required payment has not been completed.

7. Security Deposit

Wink reserves the right to collect a refundable security deposit. The deposit may be collected in cash or secured through a credit or debit card pre-authorisation.

The deposit will be released or refunded after check-out, less any applicable charges arising from:

If the actual cost exceeds the deposit collected, the guest remains responsible for the outstanding amount.

8. Age Requirements and Accessibility

Guests aged 18 or above may stay without a parent or legal guardian.

Guests aged 13 to 17 may request to stay without an accompanying adult, subject to Wink's prior approval and the submission of a completed Parent or Guardian Consent Form.

Guests aged 12 or below must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult. They must stay in a fully booked private or family room and may not stay in a shared dormitory with unrelated guests.

Children under four years old may stay free of charge when sharing an existing bed with a parent or guardian. This is subject to the room's maximum permitted occupancy and a limit of two children under four per room.

Wink does not impose a maximum age limit. However, most Wink properties are located in buildings without lifts or elevators, and guests may need to climb stairs to reach the reception, bedrooms or other facilities. Some capsule beds are also located on an upper level and require the use of a ladder. Guests should consider their mobility and physical needs before booking.

Guests who may have difficulty using stairs or climbing into an upper capsule should contact Wink before booking. Requests for lower-level accommodation will be considered but remain subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

9. One Guest per Bed or Pod

Each bed or capsule pod is intended for one registered guest only. Sharing a bed or pod is not permitted unless the accommodation is specifically sold and designated for shared occupancy, such as a queen or double bed.

Only registered guests are permitted inside guest rooms and sleeping areas.

10. Room and Bed Selection

Guests are responsible for checking that the room, bed, and occupancy type selected during booking is suitable for everyone in their party.

Female dormitories are reserved for female guests, male dormitories for male guests, and mixed dormitories may accommodate guests of any gender.

If an unsuitable room or bed type has been booked, Wink will try to arrange an alternative, subject to availability and any applicable price difference. If no suitable alternative is available, check-in may be declined. Any refund will be determined according to the reservation terms and the circumstances of the booking.

11. Room Allocation

Room and bed numbers are allocated according to operational requirements and availability. Wink may reassign a guest to another bed or room of the same or a comparable category when reasonably necessary.

We will do our best to accommodate requests such as lower pods, adjoining rooms, or particular room locations, but special requests cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed by Wink in writing.

12. Respectful Conduct

Guests must behave respectfully towards other guests, visitors, neighbours, and Wink team members.

Harassment, threats, violence, abusive behaviour, theft, deliberate damage, excessive intoxication, illegal activity, or conduct that endangers or seriously disturbs others will not be tolerated.

Wink may require a guest to leave the premises immediately for serious or repeated misconduct. Where removal results from a breach of these house rules, unused accommodation charges may not be refundable.

13. No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout all indoor areas, including bedrooms, capsule pods, bathrooms, stairways, and common areas.

Guests who breach this rule may be charged a cleaning or deodorising fee of S$200 and may be required to leave the property without a refund for the unused portion of their stay.

Smoking is permitted only in legally designated outdoor areas.

14. Food and Drinks

To maintain cleanliness and prevent pests, food and beverages other than plain drinking water must not be consumed or stored in bedrooms or capsule pods.

Guests are welcome to eat in the designated pantry or dining areas. Please dispose of rubbish properly and clean the area after use.

Repeated or serious breaches may result in additional cleaning charges or the guest being required to leave the property.

15. Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Bedrooms and capsule areas are intended for sleeping and resting. During quiet hours, phone calls, conversations, videos without headphones, luggage packing, and other noisy activities should take place outside the bedroom.

Main bedroom lights will generally be switched off at or around 10:00 PM. Guests arriving or departing during quiet hours should keep noise and lighting to a minimum.

16. Housekeeping and Maintenance

Regular housekeeping is carried out between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Guests staying for more than one night may remain in the room during this period, but our team will need reasonable access to clean and maintain the premises.

During housekeeping, doors or windows may be opened temporarily, air-conditioning may be switched off, and cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners may be used.

Occasional maintenance work may also be necessary. We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and, where practicable, inform affected guests in advance.

17. Personal Belongings and Guest Activities

Guests are responsible for keeping their belongings secure at all times. Lockers should be used where provided, and valuables should not be left unattended.

Wink is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

From time to time, Wink may organise optional social or recreational activities. Participation is voluntary, and guests are responsible for assessing whether an activity is suitable for their health, fitness, and personal circumstances. Participation is at the guest's own risk, subject to applicable law.

18. Restricted Guests and Right of Admission

To protect our guests, employees, and properties, Wink maintains internal records of individuals who have previously committed serious misconduct, caused significant damage, threatened safety, engaged in fraudulent activity, or repeatedly breached our rules.

Wink reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to refuse entry or accommodation to such individuals. Where check-in is declined, any refund will be handled according to the circumstances, less any applicable booking, administrative, or third-party charges.
